Job: Family Physician

Job Description: 
Our outpatient medical facility in East St. Paul, MB, one minute north of the perimeter on Henderson Hwy, is looking for a family physician interested in a locum position from January 2024 to February 2025 (not Dec 2024 as indicated below). Start and end dates are flexible. We would accept positions of three months and longer, but preferably for the entire year. The position would be covering a leave for Dr. Emily Saganski who is a family physician with a 1000 patient roster. This can easily be managed part-time, which would allow for other interests, or can be extended to full-time. Other opportunities within the clinic include a lumps and bumps clinic if you like doing biopsies and the clinic is set up for basic women’s health such as paps and IUDs. Other interests can easily be arranged as well. There is an opportunity to add 1-2 days per week of walk-in clinic. You would be supported by 3-4 front desk staff, 2 specialists (Rheumatology and Autoimmune skin disorders, and a neurologist) and there is an in house pharmacy. Within the same building, there is a physiotherapist, chiropractor, massage therapist, occupational therapist who does mental health counselling, acupuncturist, and naturopath. We are set up for telemedicine and have remote access for Accuro, our EMR system.

You would have full control of your schedule. We are open 9am to 5pm on weekdays with the option to work after hours or weekends via telemedicine. There is an opportunity to continue and join the practice if you like the experience, but this is not required. Work Environment Details: 
Solo family physician practice with support of two specialists and a compounding pharmacy. Building complex includes Physiotherapy and a Chiropractic Clinic that offers massage, chiro, naturopathy, acupuncture, OT, and mental health counselling. Can work out of 2-3 rooms with hallway cubby that also has a computer. Three to four front desk support staff. Facility is set up for surgical procedures.

We currently do our own billing. If this is something you have not done before, there is support to learn or the option to pay for a billing company.
